SR Client Question: Are concierge medicine expenses FSA-eligible?

Concierge medicine, a highly attentive approach to healthcare, is gaining popularity. Patients pay additional fees for personalized care and enhanced access to their doctors. With fewer patients, doctors are more available for consultations, offering a refreshing alternative to brief appointments that often leave patients with unanswered questions.

Regarding FSA eligibility, the IRS specifies that only fees for medical services rendered can be reimbursed. Fees paid to retain a concierge doctor without receiving services are not eligible. However, if a patient receives medical services, such as a visit, the fee for that service can be reimbursed if proper documentation is provided.
